CONTINUING ACTIVITIES

• Annually update advocacy priorities with input from the arts and culture community and create strategies to address important issues


• Monitor and advocate for local, state and national policies that impact the arts


• Provide representation and build relationships within local, state and national governments and other groups identified as strategic partners

NEW STRATEGIES /EXPANSION OF SERVICES

• Provide advocacy training and develop a local advocacy network


• Develop a research agenda that supports passionate arguments with factual evidence (utilizing the Pennsylvania Cultural Data Project)


• Investigate existing initiatives in other regions designed to increase individual giving to the arts

OBJECTIVES FOR 2008-09

• Host two public forums


• Increase the number of organizations and individuals participating in local, state and national advocacy efforts
