Embracing Arts and Culture

Arts and culture was highlighted recently in a blog post on "Inside Philanthropy" (Philanthropy Journal's blog). Like several arts councils mentioned in the post, your Arts Council is also working to reinvent itself. (Or really, since we still relatively "young," to invent ourselves for the first time!) Why? Because, we complete agree that "communities need to embrace the nonprofit arts and culture industry as an important partner in building a promising future." Much of our new strategic plan focuses on increasing visibility and support of the arts. We'll be working toward that goal through marketing & ticketing programs and through cultural policy and research efforts. You can help! Let us know if you would like to get more involved!
